Build Your Squad with Friends

Add friends, see their stats, and pull them into a match in two taps. Here's how the friend system works in FOM Play.

FOM Play Team · · 3 min read

FOM is more fun with your people in it. The friend system turns a list of names into an actual squad — one you can pull from instantly, track against, and climb the rankings with.

Adding friends

Send a friend request, they accept, and they’re on your list. From there you can see their profile: their MMR, their tier, their win rate, and how they’ve been trending. It’s a friendly way to keep score off the court too.

Why it’s worth doing

  • Faster match setup. Instead of typing names every week, pull your regulars straight from your friends list in a couple of taps.
  • Real rivalries. Watching a friend’s MMR creep past yours is exactly the kind of motivation that gets people back on court.
  • Your crew in one place. No more reconstructing the group from memory every session.

Quick-add during setup

When you’re building a match, your friends show up right there in the player picker. Tap to add, and you’re done. You can even filter by MMR if you’re trying to keep the teams balanced — or deliberately unbalanced, if you’re feeling brave.

The bigger picture

Friends, rankings, and Rooms all feed each other. Your squad shows up in your Rooms, your matches feed everyone’s MMR, and the leaderboard turns your group into a running competition that lasts way beyond any single night.

Add a few friends before your next session and watch how quickly “let’s play sometime” turns into a standing weekly game.
